Dental Implant Placement

A dental implant is a small titanium fixture that replaces the root portion of a missing natural tooth. The implant is placed in the upper or lower jaw, and bonds with your bone. It also serves as an anchor for a crown, bridge, or dentures. Dental implants support crowns or dentures that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.

After Dental Implant Placement

Dental implants are placed and cared for by a periodontist, who has specialized knowledge and equipment for the job. Your periodontist should be in close communication with your general dentist, who will be responsible for installing crowns or dentures.
